North-East­ern Di­vi­sion Task Force (NEDTF) of­fi­cers are plead­ing with any­one with in­for­ma­tion that can lead to an ar­rest in the seizure of a gun, a quan­ti­ty of am­mu­ni­tion and cam­ou­flage cloth­ing yes­ter­day.

Ac­cord­ing to po­lice re­ports, dur­ing a ‘crime sup­pres­sion ex­er­cise’ in Barataria and Mor­vant, NEDTF of­fi­cers re­ceived in­for­ma­tion about il­lic­it items be­ing stored in the Cale­do­nia Road, Ve­gas, Mor­vant area.

Of­fi­cers pro­ceed­ed to Har­mo­ny Lane, Cale­do­nia Road, Ve­gas, Mor­vant, where they car­ried out a search of the area.

Dur­ing the search, of­fi­cers found a black shoul­der bag con­tain­ing a sil­ver and black Smith and Wes­son re­volver with six rounds of .38 am­mu­ni­tion wrapped in a piece of cam­ou­flage cloth and a black ski mask in a drain be­hind a con­crete struc­ture.

The ex­er­cise was spear­head­ed by Snr Supt Phillip, W/Supt (Ag) May­nard-Wil­son, Supt (Ag) Alexan­der, Sgt (Ag) Mar­tin and ex­e­cut­ed by Cpl (Ag) Ma­jeed.
