Po­lice have un­cov­ered the bod­ies of two His­pan­ic women buried in shal­low graves at Be­ju­cal fol­low­ing a tip-off from a con­fi­den­tial in­for­mant late Wednes­day night.

Around 11:30 p.m. on June 25, of­fi­cers of the Na­tion­al Spe­cial Op­er­a­tions Unit act­ed on the in­for­ma­tion and pro­ceed­ed to Line Road Ex­ten­sion, War­ren Road, Be­ju­cal. Up­on ar­rival, they ob­served an area that ap­peared to be used for agri­cul­ture. Af­ter ven­tur­ing ap­prox­i­mate­ly 42 feet in­to dense, grassy ter­rain north of the road­way, they no­ticed flat­tened grass and loose soil. At ap­prox­i­mate­ly 11:40 p.m., the of­fi­cers be­gan ex­ca­vat­ing the site and dis­cov­ered the life­less bod­ies of the two women buried in shal­low graves.

The scene was im­me­di­ate­ly cor­doned off, and ad­di­tion­al units — in­clud­ing the Homi­cide Bu­reau of In­ves­ti­ga­tions, Crime Scene Unit, Ca­nine Unit, Spe­cial In­ves­ti­ga­tions Unit, and Cen­tral Di­vi­sion Task Force (Area North) — re­spond­ed to sup­port the in­ves­ti­ga­tion.

Around 3:30 a.m., af­ter the Dis­trict Med­ical Of­fi­cer pro­nounced both vic­tims dead, the bod­ies were re­moved by a fu­ner­al home and es­cort­ed to the Foren­sic Sci­ence Cen­tre for au­top­sy.
