Fifty-two-year-old Michael Richardson who pleaded guilty to possession of firearm and ammunition was fined $20,000 when he appeared before Senior Magistrate Indira Misir-Gosine of the Princes Town Magistrates’ Court today.
According to police reports, around 9.15 pm, members of the Marabella Criminal Investigation Department executed a search warrant at a house in Princes Town.
During the search which was done in the presence of the suspect, officers found one black and silver firearm fitted with a magazine containing five rounds of nine-millimetre ammunition in the toilet tank of the bathroom. The man was subsequently arrested and taken to the Marabella Police Station where he was charged by PC Ramjattan on November 22nd, for the offences.
