Six Venezue­lan na­tion­als, who were be­ing held at the Im­mi­gra­tion De­ten­tion Cen­tre, were repa­tri­at­ed to their home coun­try on Thurs­day (Sep­tem­ber 26, 2024).

The group, which in­clud­ed five males and one fe­male, had been found to have en­tered Trinidad and To­ba­go il­le­gal­ly and de­port­ed as part of a repa­tri­a­tion ex­er­cise.

The six per­sons de­part­ed from the Port of Ce­dros aboard the An­gel Del Orinoco 2.

A state­ment is­sued by the Po­lice Ser­vice says this ex­er­cise is part of an on­go­ing ini­tia­tive by the TTPS Im­mi­gra­tion In­ves­ti­ga­tions Unit of the Crim­i­nal In­ves­ti­ga­tions De­part­ment/Crim­i­nal Records Of­fice (CID/CRO).

It was co­or­di­nat­ed by the Chief Im­mi­gra­tion Of­fi­cer, Snr Supt Guy Al­leyne, Supt Et­ti­enne, ASP Sookdeo, In­sp Phillip, and Sgt Daula.
