A quantity of cocaine valued at approximately TT$4.1milion was discovered by officers of the Western Division and Defence Force personnel during a Joint Army-Police Patrol exercise in the Carenage district Wednesday night.
The exercise, headed by acting Senior Supt Mark, included officers of the Carenage Police Station.
During the raid, officers went to to a boatyard where they observed three men acting suspiciously.
Upon seeing the officers, the men ran off.
A search of the area was made and resulted in officers finding 10.4 kilogrammes of cocaine, wrapped in 10 packets inside a black suitcase.
Investigations are ongoing.
