The Trinidad and Tobago Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals (TTSPCA) was not left out of the Christmas cheer and got a bit of a boost from the Digicel Foundation.
A release from the Digicel Foundation reports that the Port of Spain Shelter received a financial gift from pet-lover who also is a Digicel employee.
Knowing the challenges that the TTSPCA faces in caring for animals, Digicel Customer Care Agent Naidelyn Rojas Figueroa, donated TT$3,750 to the Port of Spain Shelter, as part of the Digicel Foundation’s #ShareMore Christmas initiative.
Digicel Foundation Finance Accountant Misha Jackman visited the Shelter to present the items.
The TTSPCA provides temporary shelter for homeless, unwanted, and abused dogs and cats. Naidelyn herself had adopted a cat from the shelter, so she had first-hand familiarity with the dedication and love which the staff has for the animals.
The donation will help the TTSPCA buy vaccinations for the dogs and cats, food items, and cleaning supplies.
