A man and a woman, both of Yearwood Street, Thomas Trace, Arouca, were arrested for possession of marijuana and ammunition during an anti-crime exercise on January 12th.
The exercise was coordinated by ASP Coggins and Insp Pitt and supervised by Sgt Pamphille and Cpl Bedassie, and included officers from the Northern Division Task Force (NDTF) Area Central and members of the Northern Division Intel Unit.
According to police reports, a search warrant was executed at a house at Yearwood Street, Thomas Trace, Arouca, where 12 rounds of nine-millimetre ammunition and 683 grams of marijuana were found. Both occupants of the house were arrested and the illegal items seized. Acting on information the party of officers proceeded to a forested area off Lopinot Road, Arouca where they found one 12-gauge shotgun with two 12 gauge cartridges. No one was arrested.
