A man and a woman have been arrested for possession of a firearm and ammunition.
According to police reports, on September 15th officers of the North Eastern and Western Divisions conducted an exercise between the hours of 4 pm and 10 pm. The officers executed a search warrant at Don Miguel Road, Sudan Trace, and Oudhan Trace, El Soccorro.
While there, officers discovered one AR 15 assault rifle, and an assortment of ammunition.
The couple were immediately arrested and taken to the police station.
The 40-year-old man is expected to be charged with possession of firearm and ammo and the woman is to be charged with use of obscene language.
In another incident around 9:15 pm the party of officers proceeded to North Coast Road, Patna Village, Diego Martin, based on information received.
The officers discovered a multi-coloured market bag containing one double barrel shotgun and two 12 gauge cartridges.

The exercise was spearheaded by Snr Supt Aroon Ramkelawan, ASP Gyan, and supervised by Insp (Ag) Pitt, Sgt (Ag) Pamphille and officers from Task Force Central Base, Task Force East, East Operations and Task Force Intelligence.
