A scuffle among several men during a Halloween party in Maloney in the early hours yesterday left two nursing injuries at hospital.
A 24-year-old man of Building 18, along with a 33-year-old man of Building 16 and an 18-year-old of Greenlett Avenue, were at the party which was being held on the ground floor of Building 14 around 2.20 am on November 1 when an argument broke out between the gunman and the 33-year-old victim.
It was alleged that as a scuffle ensued, the suspect pulled out a gun and began shooting at the victim, who managed to escape without harm.
However, the two others who were at the party were injured.
The 24-year-old was shot in the chest and leg, while the teenager was shot in the left thigh.
Both victims were taken to the Arima Hospital, where the elder man was treated and warded in a critical condition, while the second was treated and warded in a stable condition.
Five spent 9 mm shell casings were recovered at the scene.
