Parts of Diego Martin currently without a pipe-borne water supply can expect to see some relief by later this evening at the earliest, according to an advisory from the Water and Sewerage Authority.
WASA reports that the Four Roads Pumping Station currently is having emergency repairs carried out on a ruptured 10-inch diameter discharge pipeline at the facility.
According to the advisory, the emergency repair works currently underway are expected to be completed by 4:00 pm today, Thursday 21st January 2021.
Customers are advised that following the resumption of operations at the plant, it may take up to 24 hours for the scheduled pipe borne water supply to normalize to some affected areas.
Areas affected include:
Goodwood Park, Morne Coco Road, Victoria Gardens, Hillcrest Drive, Union Road, Covigne Road, Richplain Road, Dangerous Corner, La Puerta Road, Diego Martin Main Road and associated side streets.
