National Security Minister and Minister in the Office of the Prime Minister Stuart Young is in Washington, D.C. today participating in a roundtable on de-risking and correspondent banking relations.
The event, which is hosted by the US House Committee on Financial Services, will include legislators and bankers.
A statement from the Office of the Prime Minister said this roundtable discussion follows a meeting in September between Prime Minister Keith Rowley and US Congresswoman Maxine Waters, chairman of the US House Committee on Financial Services.
The statement said Young is representing T&T at the meeting as part of a Caricom delegation.
Chairman of Caricom Allen Chastanet, Prime Minister of Saint Lucia Gaston Browne, Prime Minister of Antigua and Barbuda and Ambassador Irwin LaRocque, Secretary-General Caricom are among those who are also attend the meeting.
