Na­tion­al Se­cu­ri­ty Min­is­ter and Min­is­ter in the Of­fice of the Prime Min­is­ter Stu­art Young is in Wash­ing­ton, D.C. to­day par­tic­i­pat­ing in a round­table on de-risk­ing and cor­re­spon­dent bank­ing re­la­tions.

The event, which is host­ed by the US House Com­mit­tee on Fi­nan­cial Ser­vices, will in­clude leg­is­la­tors and bankers.

A state­ment from the Of­fice of the Prime Min­is­ter said this round­table dis­cus­sion fol­lows a meet­ing in Sep­tem­ber be­tween Prime Min­is­ter Kei­th Row­ley and US Con­gress­woman Max­ine Wa­ters, chair­man of the US House Com­mit­tee on Fi­nan­cial Ser­vices.

The state­ment said Young is rep­re­sent­ing T&T at the meet­ing as part of a Cari­com del­e­ga­tion.

Chair­man of Cari­com Allen Chas­tanet, Prime Min­is­ter of Saint Lu­cia Gas­ton Browne, Prime Min­is­ter of An­tigua and Bar­bu­da and Am­bas­sador Ir­win LaRocque, Sec­re­tary-Gen­er­al Cari­com are among those who are al­so at­tend the meet­ing.
