With leaders T&TEC expected to take full points from its meeting with M&M Harvard, last year's winner, bmobile Joe Public and second placed team WASA will meet in a key bmobile National Super League match today. The clash between, WASA and Joe Public takes place at the Marvin Lee Stadium, Macoya from 3.30pm.
T&TEC leads the standings with 37 points from 15 matches, two more than WASA which has played two more matches while 1976 Angostura Phoenix is third with 30 points and Joe Public, eighth with 19 points. While Joe Public has little chance of claiming the title a win over former champions, WASA today will see the latter fall off the pace with only two matches in its 20-match schedule left to play.
A win however, may see WASA take over top spot, should the "Electricity Boys" suffer a shock loss to Harvard at the Manny Ramjohn Stadium, Marabella also from 3.30pm. In another match with keen interest, fourth placed Stokely Vale, with 26 points and four matches left to play will be at home to Defence Force at Plymouth Recreation Ground, needing a victory to keep its faint title dreams alive.
At the other end of the table, Queen's Park, Valtrin FC and St Francois Nationals are all in desperate need of points with relegation on the horizon. The Parkites and St Francois clash at the Hasely Crawford Stadium, Training Field, Mucurapo while Valtrin entertains mid-table Club Sando at NUGFW Ground, Valsayn.
