Kerwin John was voted in as the second Vice President of the T&T Cricket Board (TTCB) at elections held recently at the TTCB office, National Cricket Centre in Couva.
He is the first Tobagonian elected to the national board.
Delaford- born John was re-elected unopposed last November for a third consecutive term as President of the Tobago Cricket Association (TCA). He has been a member of the TTCB for the past three years as the Tobago representative.
Asked about his new position, John said it was unexpected but he is thankful for the faith put in him by board members. He said his work in the short space of time on the executive contributed to him being given the opportunity to become one of the three vice presidents.
John managed the National Under-17 Team in 2015 before stepping up to manage the National Under-19 Team over the last three years.
Asked what his new position means for Tobago cricket, John said: “It means Tobago will now have three representatives on the board for the first time."
The new executive met on Tuesday to appoint the constituted five nominated members.
