T&T se­nior na­tion­al team mid­field­er Ju­dah Gar­cia will join his broth­er Levi Gar­cia at Greek Su­per League club AEK Athens on a three-year con­tract.

He is set to be­gin with the B team with the hope of be­ing pro­mot­ed to the top team. Train­ing for him will be­gin on Thurs­day.

Ju­dah has made a name for him­self start­ing from the Sec­ondary Schools Foot­ball League (SS­FL) where he scored many goals for Shi­va Boys Hin­du Col­lege to lead them to the Na­tion­al In­ter­Col ti­tle in 2017 and was named Play­er of the Year.

Fol­low­ing his sign­ing he told a lo­cal web­site aek­fc.gr: “It is re­al­ly ex­cit­ing for me to play in the same team as Levi. We have al­ready done it in our Na­tion­al team, and I hope we will do it in AEK soon. It is a great ho­n­our for me and my fam­i­ly to join such a big club with the his­to­ry of AEK. “I do not hide the fact that I am hap­py for this de­vel­op­ment and I be­lieve that there is a huge prospect for my foot­ball ca­reer”.

‘Pap­py’ as he is af­fec­tion­ate­ly called, lat­er pro­gressed to the var­i­ous na­tion­al youth teams 9u-20 and U-23), and al­so rep­re­sent­ed lo­cal clubs Point Fortin Civic Cen­tre, San Fer­nan­do Gi­ants and oth­er clubs be­fore mov­ing to I-League out­fit NE­RO­CA FC for the 2020/2021 sea­son.

Gar­cia made his se­nior in­ter­na­tion­al de­but against Pana­ma in 2019 un­der for­mer na­tion­al coach Den­nis Lawrence. He was a mem­ber of Ter­ry Fen­wick’s team be­fore be­ing fea­tured on An­gus Eve’s team dur­ing the CON­CA­CAF Gold Cup play-off and dur­ing the group phase of the Gold Cup.

Gar­cia, a na­tive of San­ta Flo­ra, who was fea­tured in na­tion­al colours for the se­nior nine times said: “It is re­al­ly ex­cit­ing for me to play in the same team as Levi.
