Ronald Phipps was a dom­i­nant force once more as de­fend­ing cham­pi­on team - Fire Ser­vice made it two wins from as many match­es in the Pre­mier Di­vi­sion of the Courts All Sec­tors Net­ball League at the East­ern Re­gion­al In­door Sports Are­na, Or­ange Grove Road, Tacarigua on Sat­ur­day.

Goal At­tack Phipps con­vert­ed 34 of 44 at­tempts while for­mer na­tion­al play­er Si­mone Mor­gan added ten from 21 and Mar­tinez Hold­er, sev­en from 12 for Fire Ser­vice who led 10-6, 22-15 and 38-21 at the end of the first three quar­ters.

Po­lice, now with a 0-2 record got a team-best 27 goals from 41 at­tempts from Steve Mc Sween, while Je­seelle Navar­ro got sev­en from eight and Gushi­er Grant, one of two in the loss.

Po­lice Youth Club kept pace with Fire Ser­vice at the top with a com­fort­able 42-25 beat­ing of Unit Trust Cor­po­ra­tion.

Lead­ing the way for PYC was na­tion­al team young­ster, Tahi­ra Hollingsworth with 26 goals from 37 at­tempts.

PYC who led 9-4, 19-12 and 35-15 at the end of the first three quar­ters al­so got nine from 14 at­tempts by na­tion­al men’s bas­ket­baller, Fab­rice Fish­er, and Cheynelle Dol­land with sev­en from 15.

Ja­son No­ray was the lone play­er from UTC to reach dou­ble-fig­ures with 12 goals from 18 at­tempts.

Men’s bas­ket­baller, Ker­ry Mc Mil­lan tal­lied 23 goals from 28 at­tempts, and for­mer Eng­land-based T&T in­ter­na­tion­al, Anas­tas­cia Wil­son scored 20 from 23 at­tempts to earn De­fence Force a 43-39 win over Las Lo­mas Acad­e­my, who got a team-best 15 goals from 25 at­tempts from Keon Rus­sell.

In the Cham­pi­onship Di­vi­sion, there were con­trast­ing wins for TSTT and cham­pi­ons, Bermudez.

TSTT crushed Mis­cel­la­neous Laven­tille 45-9 with Kami­la Sobers scor­ing 28 goals from 41 at­tempts for the win­ners, while Make­da De Fre­itas net­ted 29 of 33 at­tempts for Bermudez, as they held off Jabloteh, 36-35. To­day's match­es have been resched­uled to Wednes­day due to un­avail­abil­i­ty of the venue.
