Nicholas Sookdeosingh slammed a century against his former club PowerGen to take First Citizens Clarke Road team to a massive 138-run victory in the TTCB 50 overs tournament played at Clarke Road in Penal yesterday.
Batting first, Clarke Road made 307/6 off their 50 overs with the left-handed Sookdeosingh getting 132 and Dejourn Charles 80. PowerGen then made 269 all out as Guyanese Royston Crandon made 71 and Ewart Nicholson 50.
The powerful Central Sports was on fire, as they defeated Curepe Sports by nine wickets before lunch. Curepe made 73 all out with left-arm spinner Christopher Ramsaran taking 5/18. Central Sports romped to victory at 75/1 off just six overs.
At the Queen's Park Oval, Justin Guillen struck form with 76 as the Parkites defeated Aranguez by 55 runs. QPCC made 252/7 in their 50 overs with Guillen and Daron Cruickshank 58 getting runs. Dion Ferrier was good with the ball and grabbed 5/38. Aranguez got to 197 all out with Brian Christmas making 56. Spinners Yannick Carriah grabbed 3/44 and Jon Russ Jaggessar 3/23.
