Following her win on stage six of the women's Tour de l'Ardeche on Monday, T&T's Teniel Campbell pedalled to 69th on the seventh and final stage on Tuesday.
Racing from the French town of Le Pouzin to Privas, Campbell completed the day's 81.5km journey in two hours, 43 minutes and 12 seconds. The reigning "Sportswoman of the Year" ended in 57th spot in the general classification to cap a great week of racing on a personal note as well as for her team-mates of Team BikeExchange.
Two of Campbell's team-mates placed within the top five on the final stage. Australian Lucy Kennedy finished the stage in third to mark a special end to her professional career. She crossed the line in 2:22.47, which was just 16 seconds slower than Jeanne Korevaar (Netherlands) of Liv Racing. Korevaar's countrywoman Lucinda Brand won stage seven in 2:21.44.
Team BikeExchange rider Ane Santesteban of Spain placed fifth (2:23.05) on stage seven which marked her fourth top-ten finish in the seven-day event and also cemented her bronze medal position in the general classification.
All of those performances helped Team BikeExchange to victory in the teams' classification.
