Kingston– Jamaica led T&T by 210 runs with four wickets in hand to tighten their grip on their regional four-day fixture here yesterday.
After making what appeared to be an inadequate 147 in their first innings, Jamaica came storming back, thanks to their bowlers, led by Cotterell who took 5-43.
Resuming at their overnight 36-1, with Lendl Simmons looking good, T&T lost wickets at regular intervals to leave the Jamaican in a strong position.
Simmons, who resumed on 25 was removed for the top score of 39 by medium pacer Dave Bernard Jr. who took 3-18.
Bernard also removed Kjorn Ottley (14), and there was a steady procession to the pavillion thereafter, initiated by Cotterell.
The tall left arm pacer removed T&T's high scoring batsman Jason Mohammed (7), Imran Khan (4), Yannick Cariah (19) and Marlon Richards (0).
Cariah and Rayad Emrit put on T&T's best partnership of 58 for the seventh wicket but both batsmen perished within two runs as T&T moved for 60 for six to 121 all out.
Jamaica started their innings with a 26-run advantage and lost first innings top scorer Danza Hyatt (7) to Shannon Gabreil with the score on nine. But Brendon Parchment who is on 60 and Nkruma Bonner (31) added 56 for the second wicket to put their team back on top.
Jamaica lost Jermaine Blackwood (18) to Cariah but Parchment got admirable assistance from skipper Tamar Lambert (51) to leave their team with the upper hand going into today's third day.
