In the build up to the elections, many persons are distracted by political nonsense, as big businesses rape the citizenry of cash worth billions of dollars. One person to show some concern is temporary Senator David Small, who recently pledged that he intends to focus relentlessly on "bank charges" inexplicably imposed by senior management at most banks in T&T. This was also alluded to by the President of our country.
I have always questioned this financial thievery at the banks, and wish to add some more areas that poor people are being robbed, as politicians, of all parties, are silent of these issues:
- Cable television and internet - poor reception, no/poor reception
-Automobile insurance and pension providers, refusal to pay and corrupt practices
-Interest rates and foreign exchange charges at financial institutions, how are they arrived at
-Absence of senior doctors at government medical institutions and present at private offices, who is culpable
-The uselessness or EMA on noise pollution and forest fires, need to address now
This is just the tip of the iceberg that non-partisan citizens are concerned about and wish to also get support from persons such as Peter Permell.
