There is a concept called "overkill" which is what caused the governing party to lose at least two elections–Chaguanas West and Tobago House of Assembly. The UNC has long passed the stage of overkill, fully three weeks before the elections.
The extreme exposure of the Prime Minister's image on the print media is having the opposite effect to what was intended, especially as the photograph used is not the most flattering.
What was meant to be a smile appears to be a smirk, and is becoming increasingly offensive the more one sees it.It may win the hearts of the dyed-in-the wool UNC supporters but it's doing nothing to win the as-yet-uncommitted voters. In fact, it may well be turning them off.
The Prime Minister may want to reconsider the campaign being waged by her handlers and back off this over-exposure of herself which may be doing more harm than good.
