United National Congress (UNC) Public Relations Officer, PRO, Anita Haynes has labelled Prime Minister Dr Keith Rowley “a bully” who has to beg Tobago for forgiveness.
Speaking at a UNC virtual campaign meeting last night, Haynes said Dr Rowley is now openly threatening citizens, saying he will not forgive them if they don’t vote for him.
On Monday the Prime Minister made it clear that if the Progressive Democratic Party (PDP) led by Watson Duke wins, he would not forgive Tobagonians.
Addressing the issue Haynes said, “This is the arrogance that is destroying everything in our blessed country today, threatening people saying you will never forgive them if they don’t choose you are not the words of a leader-those are the words of an abuser.”
The UNC candidate for Tabaquite went on to say that first, the prime minister damaged the Seabridge which brought Tobago’s vital tourism sector was brought to its knees.
She said, “I want to tell Keith Rowley tonight, it is you who should be on your knees begging for forgiveness. From the whole of Tobago and Trinidad! Forget Isasha, the PNM campaign song should be ‘Please forgive me,’ by Bryan Adams.”
Haynes said Dr Rowley refuses to accept blame and admit his government was at fault.
She accused the prime minister of “bouffing” everybody except Venezuelan President Nicholas Maduro.
“But he dare not say a bad thing about Maduro - a dictator charged with Narco trafficking. That’s because Keith Rowley is a bully and like all bullies. He is really a coward,” she said.
