Notre Dame (women) and Queen's Park (men) won their second titles in the space of two weeks when the T&T Hockey Board Super Indoor Championship ended at the Woodbrook Youth Facility, Hamilton-Holder Street, Woodbrook, on Saturday night. The Dames, winner of the Women's Open Division outdoor "Big-Four" and Indoor crowns, picked up a third title for the season via 7–1 come-from-behind thrashing of Harvard Maritime Checkers led by a hat-trick from teenager, Stephanie Whiteman.Whiteman found the back of the net in the third minute to cancel out Kecia Jones' second minute goal for Checkers before she added items in the 20th and 21st minutes.
Arielle Du Quesnay made it 2–1 in the eighth minute while Belgium-based professional Blair Wynne (11th penalty stroke), Kayla Brathwaite (20th) and Naila Saleem (29th) added one each. With the win, the Dames, who went into the clash needing to win by three clear goals ended with seven points from three matches, the same as Paragon but with a superior goal-difference of plus-seven to plus-three.Paragon had earlier outplayed Ventures 5–3 with Thompson sisters, Kristin (11th, 35th, 40th) and Danielle (14th, 21st) the scorers. For Ventures, Lindsay Williams (27th, 28th) and Cristina Abreu (2nd) got the goals.
The men's tournament was more of a straightforward one as Queen's Park dominated Petrotrin 5–2, inspired by a Dominic Young hat-trick in the sixth, 22nd and 24th minutes.Evan Piers-Farrell (ninth) and Raphael Govia (23rd) also netted for the Parkites in their third win from as many matches while Dwain Quan Chan got both goals for the Oilmen.Despite the loss, Petrotrin still secured second spot on goal-difference from Paragon and Notre Dame after the trio all finished with three points.Paragon was third after beating the Dames 6–3 with Cogie Butler and Akim Toussaint scoring twice each.
