A Vistabella family of four, including a four-year-old girl, has been displaced following a house fire last night.
The fire started sometime after 11 pm at an abandoned property next to their home at North Road.
Alerted by a neighbour, Keith Manick, 53, his wife Gladys Cupid-Manick, 48, four-year-old daughter and stepdaughter Kimberly Premchand, 26, ran out of their home which they are renting.
The roof of their home caught afire, but fire fighters were able to extinguish the flames before it could spread to the entire house.
The child's school supplies as well as the family's appliances were damaged.

While the family has found temporary lodging at a one-room apartment, they are need of a home.
The family only recently started piecing their lives back together as, during the pandemic, all three adults had lost their jobs.
Kimberly Premchand appealed to San Fernando West MP Faris Al-Rawi to assist them in securing public housing, even if it is on a temporary basis, until they get their feet back on the ground.
Anyone willing to assist the family can contact 297-3549.
