Members of the Special Olympics of T&T (SOTT) team were extremely excited to meet and greet the T&T Red Steel team at the Queen's Park Oval, Port-of-Spain, on July 17.
The excited olympians interacted with the players up close and personal, got their cricket bats autographed and had their photographs taken with their heroes.
Sixty-four special olympians will represent T&T at the 2015 Special Olympics World Summer Games in Los Angeles, which began last Saturday and ends on Sunday.
The T&T team will compete in eight disciplines–aquatics, athletics, basketball, bocce, equestrian, football, power-lifting and volleyball–for which they have been involved in vigorous training sessions for the past two years.
