Malabar YS and Blast FC completed the league and knockout double in the Under-13 and U-11 Divisions of the fourth annual Juventus of St John Youth League hosted by its Over-40 players when it concluded its League competition at Mt St Benedict Ground, St John's Road, St Augustine on Sunday.
In the Under-13 decider, Malabar edged World Class 2-1 to add the knockout titles to its league crown it won by trouncing Blast 10-0 two weeks ago. In the semifinals, Christian Montrose, Jesse Joseph, Trey Lamotte and Renaldo Francois all netted for Malabar in its 4-0 beating of North East Stars while World Class was on a bye.
Blast FC had a much easier time in the Udner-11 final as it got a pair of goals each from Dwight Yorke and Trevis Byron to blank North East Stars, 4-1.
Earlier in the last-four match-up, Jerry Morris and Akeem Mason got two apiece while Yorke added one in Blast FC's, 5-2 thumping of St John CS while Stars slipped past Titans 'A' 2-1 thanks to a brace from Nick Guy, who also got his team's lone reply in the final.
However, in the Under-15 age-group, World Class came out on top, 1-0 over Best Warriors via a strike from Tyrese Bailey. Bailey fired in a double and Stephon Marcano, one in World Class' 3-0 shut-out of Blast in the semis while Best Warriors got the better of Samaroo Village 2-1.
