As part of the Mal­ick Folk Per­form­ing Com­pa­ny’s (MF­PC) on­go­ing ef­forts to fos­ter a love for and de­vel­op all as­pects of the Per­form­ing Arts, We Kin­da Christ­mas The Con­cert was held at NA­PA on Sun­day, De­cem­ber 4 fea­tur­ing per­for­mances by the Com­pa­ny, FCB Su­per­novas Steel­band, T&T Prison Ser­vice Band, Rod­er­ick “Chuck” Gor­don, Zee TV Shiv Shak­ti Dancers, Los Alum­nos de San Juan, The Guer­ra Sis­ters and Jeron Hack­ett un­der the pa­tron­age of the Tu­na­puna/Pi­ar­co Re­gion­al Cor­po­ra­tion.

The Mal­ick Folk Per­form­ing Com­pa­ny CMT was found­ed in 1979 un­der the artis­tic di­rec­tor­ship of Nor­van Fuller­ton and is the hold­er of a na­tion­al award, the Cha­co­nia Medal Sil­ver. The non-prof­it or­gan­i­sa­tion is reg­is­tered with the Min­istry of Com­mu­ni­ty De­vel­op­ment, Cul­ture and The Arts and the Min­istry of Le­gal Af­fairs with the ob­jec­tive of fos­ter­ing a love for and de­vel­op­ing all as­pects of the per­form­ing arts while pro­mot­ing the in­dige­nous cul­ture of Trinidad and To­ba­go lo­cal­ly, re­gion­al­ly and in­ter­na­tion­al­ly.

In keep­ing with their vi­sion of con­tin­u­ous train­ing, learn­ing, sus­tain­abil­i­ty, con­ti­nu­ity and suc­ces­sion plan­ning, the com­pa­ny is struc­tured con­sist­ing of the Se­nior Com­pa­ny and the Ju­nior Com­pa­ny, which was found­ed in 1991, for young mem­bers be­tween the ages of three and 16 years.
