You know it's that time of year when you hear the sweet sounds of parang, as was the case last Saturday night when the annual Gruff Parang Party was held at the St Andrew's Golf Course in Moka. Digicel was part of the exciting event for the third year running.
The much anticipated fete saw thousands, who came out for a jump start to the Christmas season, and patrons were welcomed by the Digicel brand ambassadors, dressed in their festive outfits, and given complimentary tokens. Patrons also got the opportunity to take photos with the Digicel Santa, and his helpers and were given the photos as a parting gift. The Digishotz were also a hot item on the night, with partygoers making a beeline for the sorrel liqueur shots, that cascaded down from the ice sculpture done in the shape of a star.
The women were in for a special treat from Santa. They were offered the chance to pull prizes from his bag of goodies, which included cosies, bottle openers and the main prize of the evening-two of Harts Carnival costumes for Carnival 2011. To round off the evening, Kes the Band, led by Kees Dieffenthaller, entertained the crowd.
