Razack Bholo, the man found floating in a river in Gasparillo on Tuesday, was murdered.
An autopsy at the Forensic Science Centre in Port-of-Spain confirmed that 63-year-old Bholo died of blunt force trauma to the head and nine stab wounds to the back of his neck. Bholo’s body was found floating in the Guaracara River, about 60 feet from the southbound lane of the Solomon Hochoy Highway around 9 pm.
Police found his wallet nearby, wrapped in plastic and containing his national identification card and a bank card. He was homeless and lived under a bridge not far from where his body was discovered.
