On the tenth anniversary of the Bocas Lit Fest which starts on Friday, September 18, the festival will commemorate the 1970's Black Power Movement.
In an interview on CNC3's the Morning Brew marketing and media coordinator Ardene Sirjoo said three writers will present their work inspired by the 1970's movement.
Historian and author Chike Pilgrim, who will present his book on the movement during the Lit Fest, said he believes the movement was a critical part of T&T's history.
The Bocas Lit Fest begins on Friday and ends on Sunday and in keeping with the new normal and the COVID-19 Public Health Regulations, Sirjoo said it will be a completely virtual festival with 80 participating writers and speakers.
