Former Trinidad and Tobago Football Association (TTFA) President and W Connection owner David John-Williams died on Friday Morning after ailing for some time.
The Point Fortin-Born John-Williams served as President of the T&T Football Association from 2015-2019 after defeating deceased incumbent Raymond Tim Kee for the position.
John-Williams also failed to hold onto the post losing out to William Wallace in the TTFA election.
He started his career in the construction industry in 1979 upon completion of high school at Naparima College San Fernando and Spent 40 Years in the construction industry in T&T.
He was also a past president of the Naparima College Past Pupils Association and was a business entrepreneur, Football Club Owner (W Connection), and one of the leading figures in Caribbean professional football.
Having co-founded W Connection Football Club In 1999, he created arguably one of the most successful clubs in the Caribbean region over the past 21 years, with an impressive honour roll and expansive international relationships.
Apart from managing his own Civil Construction Firm, he has performed roles as Chairman of The T&T Pro League, served as a director, and sat as a member of the Caribbean Professional League Task Force for Concacaf.
John-Williams's successes in sports business and administration were the catalyst to his ascension to the highest football administration office in T&T as the President of the TTFA.(2015-2019).
