The Office of the Commissioner of Police says it has reached out to members of Parliament across 41 constituencies within the nine policing divisions of the Trinidad and Tobago Police Service (TTPS), as part of ongoing efforts to strengthen stakeholder partnerships and community engagement.
The statement says that Police Commissioner Gary Griffith has written to all MPs indicating his willingness and availability to meet with them to discuss crime initiatives and strategies, which can be beneficial to their constituents and by extension, Trinidad and Tobago.
It says that the outreach initiative forms part of ongoing transformational efforts by the Office of the Commissioner of Police and the TTPS to ensure that every citizen in every community is safe and secure thus restoring the confidence of the citizenry.
The commissioner has agreed to meet with the MPs and their respective executive members at their constituency offices, to have dialogue on crime initiatives and strategies, the statement said.
