Police said Nikeisha Henry, 33, of Third Street, was sitting in her yard with Fred Simon, 23, a security officer of 10th Street Extension, Techier, when they heard loud gunshots around 10:20 pm.
Henry told police she felt a burning sensation to her left hip and leg and when she looked down she was bleeding. She then saw Simon slumped to the ground, bleeding from a bullet wound to the left side of his chest.
Henry called out to her cousin Ketisha Joseph who called for an ambulance.

Officer later received information that a man was seen hiding in a drain and he fired upon the victims before running off. No motive has yet been established for the shooting. Insp Nemai and Sgt Sobie are heading investigations.
