A 32-year-old man from San Juan was shot dead seconds after he pulled up in Petit Bourg to pick up his son on Sunday night.
The deceased was identified as Joel Benjamin of 142 Maloney Street, San Juan.
Police said at about 9.20 pm Benjamin was at Germaine Avenue, Irving Street, in his car when several gunshots were heard. Benjamin was later found slumped in the vehicle.
Police said he died on the scene.
Benjamin's murder was the third for that day in the area.
Earlier, at about 4.30 pm Kibway Millette of Couva, 39, was fatally shot while walking to his car in San Juan.
Millette had just visited the mother of his Godchild when while he was walking to his car which was parked four houses away was approached by two men, one of which shot him.
Millette fell on the road where he died. Millette, who was an IT Technician lived at Point Lisas Gardens.
In another unrelated shooting, two people were shot and wounded in Barataria. The woman, who was identified as Selah Nelson, 38, was pronounced dead on arrival at hospital while the man, police said, is still hospitalised.
Police said at about 6.30 pm two masked men entered Nelson's home at 8th Avenue, North Barataria and opened fire on her and the man.
Investigations are ongoing into all three incidents.
