A 41-year-old man was arrested yesterday after sixteen marijuana trees, 22 marijuana plants and 32 marijuana seedlings were found after a search warrant was executed at a home at Penco Street, Lange Park yesterday.
A quantity of loose plant-like material resembling marijuana weighing 590 grammes was also found.
The man who was at the residence at the time was arrested for the cultivation of marijuana and possession of marijuana for trafficking within 500 metres of a secondary school.
The anti-crime exercise was conducted between the hours of 6 pm and 10 pm in the Las Lomas/Chaguanas district.
It was coordinated by Snr Supt Simon, who was assisted by Supt Mystar and ASP Pierre. It was supervised by Sgt Figaro and included officers from the Las Lomas Police Station and Central Division Task Force (CDTF). WPC Joseph-Lavia is continuing enquiries.
