A St James man currently is assisting Western Division Police with their investigations into the seizure of a firearm and a quantity of ammunition, yesterday, Saturday 21 November 2020.
According to an official statement from the Police Service, the man, who reportedly is known offender, was arrested by officers of the Western Division Task Force (WDTF), following an intelligence-led operation at his Upper Cocorite Terrace, St James home on that day.
The TTPS says information received led police officers to the home of the man. Officers reportedly searched the suspect and found one Ruger pistol and 12 rounds of nine millimetre ammunition.
The man was immediately arrested in connection with the find.
The Police Service says charges in this case are imminent.
The exercise was coordinated by Insp Bruno and Sgt Carmona and was supervised by Cpls (Ag) Hunte and Khan.
