One man was arrested and a number of marijuana trees and seedlings valued at $130,000 were destroyed by police during an anti-crime exercise yesterday. the following is a press release from the TTPS:
One man was arrested and a quantity of marijuana trees and seedlings were seized and destroyed by officers of the Shirvan Road Police Station during an anti-crime exercise yesterday, Thursday 9th September, 2021.
Based on information received, the officers proceeded to Sea View Trace, Golden Lane, where 450 fully grown marijuana trees and 250 seedlings valued at $130,000 were seized and destroyed.
A 44-year-old man of Golden Lane was arrested. This exercise was coordinated by ASP Joseph, and spearheaded by Sgt Anderson Alfred and Ag. Cpl Daniel and also included members of the Trinidad and Tobago Regiment. Investigations are continuing.
