The bodies of three men were found in varying stages of decomposition at three separate areas between Friday and yesterday morning.
In the most recent incident, the body of Wesley Peters was found in a house at Ravine Sable Road, Longdenville, Chaguanas at 1 pm yesterday. Peters was found slumped on a bed.
Police believe Peters may have been dead a day before he was found based on the bloating of his body.
On Friday afternoon meanwhile, the decomposing body of 62-year-old Ramesh Boodram was found along a riverbank at Davis Street, Arouca.
Police said they were notified that the body was found about 50 metres from his home at 3.30 pm.
Police said due to the advanced stage of decomposition, marks of violence could not be determined.
Boodram was last seen alive by a neighbour on Tuesday and complained then of having severe belly pain. The neighbour said he returned on Friday afternoon and Boodram was not at home. He later checked along the riverbank and found his body.
Hours earlier, the body of Randy Cooper, 50, was found at Lord Kitchener Park, Arima.
Police said Cooper, of Pro Queen Street, Arima, had no marks of violence on his body at the time of discovery.
Cooper’s body was found around 10 am by neighbours who alerted the police.
Investigations into all three are continuing.
