Three murders, one of which was a double, occurred overnight in Laventille and Carenage.
The deceased men in the Laventille incident have been identified as Keston Alvin Harvey, 36, of Lp Mc Shine Lands, Laventille and Clinton Dubarry, 33, also of Mc Shine Lands, Laventille.
The Carenage victim was identified as Daryl Nickie ‘Psycho,’ 39, of Mt Pleasant, Carenage.
In Laventille, at about 9.45 pm, officers of the IATF Fort Chacon Base were on duty when they heard gunshots emanating from the Mc Shine Lands area.
Officers responded and found Harvey and Dubarry dead on the road.
The scene was processed and 15 spent shells and one live round of 5.56 ammunition was recovered.
In Carenage, at about 9 pm, Nickie was seated along the sidewalk at Western Main Road, Carenage, opposite the Post Office in company with two other men, when a heavily tinted silver wagon, registration and make unknown, stopped in front of the group and lowered the front and back windows.
The occupants inside of the vehicle stretched out their hands through the windows holding firearms and began firing in the direction of the men. Nickie was hit several times about the body.
The other men ran off and when they returned they saw him dead.
Homicide CSI personnel WPC Aleong and WPC Donatien processed the scene where 21 rounds 5.56 and 12 rounds .40 calibre spent shells were retrieved.
Investigations are continuing.
Police said the murders were gang-related.
