Southern Division officers launched a flurry of anti-crime activities ahead of the long Easter weekend to ensure their districts remained safe and secure.
In the latest incident, Task Force officers conducted an exercise between 9 pm on Thursday and 3 am on Friday. During the exercise, officers arrested four persons for various offences including possession of cocaine and possession of marijuana.
Meanwhile, diligent work by officers of the San Fernando Police Station resulted in the arrest of a 20-year-old man in connection
with a report of Burglary which occurred on March 13th, 2024 in the Palmiste district.
The suspect, of El Socorro, is expected to be charged with burglary, assault with intent to rob, shooting with intent, possession of
firearm to endanger life, possession of ammunition to endanger life, possession of firearm and possession ammunition.
The same suspect was also arrested in connection with another report of Burglary which occurred on October 3rd, 2023, in the Princes Town district. He is expected to be charged with the offences of burglary and two counts of robbery with violence.
