Praising this PNM government is madness. The PNM political party has shown no real signs of any change since its formation, and that is why we are at a standstill and the image of this nation is constantly being tarnished. The last four years of political power have clearly demonstrated many of its failures, particularly in its handling of our crime scenario.
There is still the lingering rampage of political corruption, serious crimes and widespread lawlessness on this island. There is now so much of it, that many citizens including our politicians have become immune to our daily murders and general crime situation.
It has too now become so bad, that the commissioner of police is now requesting armoured vehicles to help fight crime here and protect the police. There is now a constant high flow of political failures. The most noticeable of these is the failure of the government to do anything constructive or effective to stem the flow of the rampage of serious crimes and lawlessness here.
The repeated call by many citizens here, to reinstate the death penalty has fallen on deaf ears where our politicians are concerned. This political party by its doctrine and beliefs also helps to encourage the spread of racism and this is supported by the one-sided view and main race of its supporters.
Any citizen here praising this political party needs his head examined. Any sudden changes or promises made now by the politicians of the PNM is only being made with the view of the coming general election. As for their promises made in the past the citizens here are still waiting for them to be implemented.
The only solution to our political woes is to form a new political party with principles aimed to rid our nation of blatant racism and improve the standards and living conditions of our ordinary citizens. We must rid ourselves of the PNM political party or any other political structure where politicians put their financial interest at the top of their priorities and constantly pull the wool over the eyes of our vulnerable citizens.
