Three Trinidad and Tobago athletes have qualified for the semi-finals of the 100 metres competitions at the Commonwealth Games in Birmingham, England and swimming Dylan Carter also qualified in the pool.
Jarod Elcock was first in Heat 10 of the Men's 100 metres competition with a time of 10.26 and Kion Benjamin with 10.34 was second in Heat 6, with the top two qualifying from each heat.
Michelle Lee-Ahye was first in Heat 5 with a time of 11.14 to also qualify for the semi-finals.
Eric Harrison Jr barely missed out on a place in the semis after placing third in Heat 8 in the Men's 100 metres and Khalifa St Fort finished 4th in Heat 3 of the Women's race.
Leah Bertrand did not start in Heat 7.
The semi-finals will take place tomorrow.
