Zenith Tobago’s Mark London showed his class and fitness last weekend in two separate events.
London, who recently completed an athletic scholarship at Coppin State University in Baltimore, Maryland, first won Division Three of the just concluded Tobago International Cycling Classic (TICC).
The 24-year-old won the five-lap Plymouth Criterium last Friday and the five-lap Market Square route on Saturday to secure the division’s overall title for the third consecutive year.
London told Tobago Today he borrowed his dad’s bike to participate in this year’s event.
He then journeyed to Trinidad on Sunday for the NAAA TT Savannah One-Lap 2018, in which he beat just over 60 runners in the open category to the finish line.
The former CARIFTA gold medallist in the 800m and 1500m completed the lap in 11 minutes, 37 seconds.
