Po­lice be­lieve that a pa­tron who was at­tend­ing a birth­day par­ty at La Ca­bana Club, Knowles Street Curepe on Sun­day made a tele­phone call to gun­men who lat­er stormed the es­tab­lish­ment killing five men. On Tues­day, of­fi­cers of the North East­ern Di­vi­sion Task Force shot and killed Ty­rone "T" "Spoon" Randy Brown and Hamza Fri­day dur­ing a con­fronta­tion at a house on Gar­rick Street Sawmill Av­enue, Mor­vant.

Both men were lat­er iden­ti­fied by wit­ness­es at the Foren­sic Sci­ence Cen­tre as the sus­pects re­spon­si­ble for the killings at the club.

In­ves­ti­ga­tors prob­ing the case said the call, which was made via cell phone, gave in­for­ma­tion to the gun­men about Ray James, one of the men killed at the bar.

"What is cer­tain is that when the killers en­tered the es­tab­lish­ment, they walked straight to a par­tic­u­lar area of the bar where James was lim­ing...They knew ex­act­ly where to go, which in­di­cates some­one at the par­ty made a call mo­ments be­fore the shoot­ing took place," a po­lice source said yes­ter­day. James, 23; Dami­an Pun­nette, 25; Ha­keem Vick­les, 17; Ker­ron Charles, 24; and Glen Mor­ris, 26, were killed in the in­ci­dent. Kevin Par­ris, 21, and Gri­ma Se­lassie, 16, were in­jured.
