?The body of a German engineer was discovered in a shallow grave at his Bacolet Crescent, Tobago, home around 5 pm yesterday. Reports indicate that Peter Taut, 56, who had been living in the area for some time, was reported missing. A search by police of Taut's residence revealed a grave in his front yard. Taut lived ten houses away from British couple, Peter Greene, 65, and his wife Murium, 59, who were chopped about their bodies while resting at their Bacolet Crescent home, last August 1.
Up to last night, police were on the scene at Taut's home with a backhoe.
His apparent killing brings to 11 the number of murders on the sister island for the year. Taut's body was discovered seven miles from where Swedish couple, Anna Sundsval, 62, and Oke Olsoon, 73, were killed last year in a similar attack.
