Yes it's true. The mega hit and well-loved play that has be­come an un­ri­valed bench­mark of T&T the­atre is back. Mary Could Dance is here for the first and on­ly time in 2009 for two ex­clu­sive nights, while the Com­mon­wealth Heads Of Gov­ern­ment Meet­ing is in town. The crit­i­cal­ly ac­claimed and box of­fice suc­cess that is Mary Could Dance will be on for two nights on­ly–No­vem­ber 28-29–at the Na­pari­ma Bowl. San Fer­nan­do.

The play, which is con­sid­ered among the best ever of lo­cal the­atre, has been run­ning since 1997 and has done more than 150 per­for­mances through­out Trinidad and To­ba­go, as well as Grena­da, St Vin­cent, St Lu­cia and Ire­land. Rights to do the play have al­so been sought by the­atre com­pa­nies in Ja­maica, the Unit­ed States and Eng­land. Mary Could Dance cur­rent­ly holds the na­tion­al record for the most Cacique The­atre Awards ever won by a sin­gle pro­duc­tion, sweep­ing the awards and win­ning ten of the fif­teen awards that were up for grabs. So loved is the play that there are many pa­trons who have seen it mul­ti­ple times and who re­turn year af­ter year as the play is staged to crit­i­cal and box of­fice suc­cess.
