Top re­gion­al wick­et­tak­er in the 2010 Re­gion­al Four-day tour­na­ment, Im­ran Khan is among three T&T crick­eters on the West In­dies A team for up-com­ing se­ries from April to Ju­ly to Eng­land. Ac­cord­ing to a re­li­able source, Khan has been se­lect­ed along im­pres­sive open­ing bats­man Justin Guillen. He tal­lied 420 runs in­clud­ing 133 against Bar­ba­dos. Al­so in the line-up is pac­er Shan­non Gabriel, who has im­pressed with his fiery bowl­ing. The first se­ries for the West In­dies A will fea­ture a four-day match and two T20 games in Grena­da against the Zim­bab­we se­nior side.

The Zim­bab­weans will be in the re­gion as part of their prepa­ra­tion for the In­ter­na­tion­al Crick­et Coun­cil's World T20 Tour­na­ment to be played in the Caribbean in April and May. In May, the Windies go to Bangladesh where they will be in­volved in a lim­it­ed-overs tri-na­tion se­ries with the host na­tion's A Team and South Africa A. They will al­so play two four-day match­es against Bangladesh A. A week lat­er, the West In­dies A start their tour Eng­land and Ire­land where they will face the Eng­land Li­ons and In­dia A in a tri­an­gu­lar One-Day Se­ries and vis­it Ire­land for two 50-over match­es against the Irish na­tion­al team.
