Top regional wickettaker in the 2010 Regional Four-day tournament, Imran Khan is among three T&T cricketers on the West Indies A team for up-coming series from April to July to England. According to a reliable source, Khan has been selected along impressive opening batsman Justin Guillen. He tallied 420 runs including 133 against Barbados. Also in the line-up is pacer Shannon Gabriel, who has impressed with his fiery bowling. The first series for the West Indies A will feature a four-day match and two T20 games in Grenada against the Zimbabwe senior side.
The Zimbabweans will be in the region as part of their preparation for the International Cricket Council's World T20 Tournament to be played in the Caribbean in April and May. In May, the Windies go to Bangladesh where they will be involved in a limited-overs tri-nation series with the host nation's A Team and South Africa A. They will also play two four-day matches against Bangladesh A. A week later, the West Indies A start their tour England and Ireland where they will face the England Lions and India A in a triangular One-Day Series and visit Ireland for two 50-over matches against the Irish national team.
