If there's one thing Diana Cohen-Chan does well it's host a terrific party.
Cohen-Chan, the engine behind Kapok Hotel, with her mother, sisters and family, held one humdinger of a 40th anniversary party, at the hotel's Bois Cano Bistro Bar, on May 11. Guests included dignitaries, long standing customers and faithful staff, some of whom have served the establishment in excess of 35 years. In her address to guests, Jane Chan made special mention of Kapok's loyal staffers. After guests departed, the Bistro Bar was opened to staff members. Live entertainment through the evening was provided by The Alternative Quartet, Jeunes Agape and Jewels of Nature, the latter featuring master drummer Jah Jah Oga Onilu and his two sons.
