Joel Gar­ner, 18-year-old Queen's Park Crick­et Club fast bowler will lead his team's bowl­ing at­tack at the 24th an­nu­al Sir Garfield Sobers In­ter­na­tion­al Schools Tour­na­ment in Bar­ba­dos. The se­ries has been sched­uled for Ju­ly 4 to 23 and will al­so at­tract two oth­er teams for T&T, in­clud­ing 2001 cham­pi­ons Pre­sen­ta­tion Col­lege, Ch­agua­nas and St Mary's Col­lege of Port-of-Spain.

Al­so in­clud­ed in the "Parkites" team is Savion Lara, cousin of bat­ting ge­nius Bri­an Lara. This is Queen's Park ninth time at the well-or­gan­ised tour­na­ment. This year teams from South Africa, Aus­tralia, Cana­da , Eng­land are tak­ing part, as well as oth­er Caribbean schools. T&T Un­der-15 all-rounder Kamil Pooran will lead the chal­lenge of the "Pres" out­fit, along with the Khan cousins–Aleem, Ameer, Ar­shad, Athir.

Long-serv­ing ad­min­is­tra­tor Lal­man Kow­lessar will again man­age the "Pres" team who has par­tic­i­pat­ed in all tour­na­ments since its in­cep­tion 24-years ago. A new cham­pi­on will be crowned in 2010 as last year's win­ners T&T Un­der-17 team will not take part in the se­ries.
