World Championships 400m bronze medallist Renny Quow was 7th in the IAAF Diamond League 400m in Lausanne Switzerland yesterday. Competing in his second leg of the series Quow clocked 45.40 seconds. His time was off his season's best of 45.34 seconds which he set in Gainsville, Florida on April 17.
Winner was 2005 world champion Jeremy Wariner of the USA who ran 44.57 seconds with compatriot Lajerald Betters, second in 44.70 ahead of Jamaican Jermaine Gonzales who finished third. Gonzales, the 2002 World junior bronze medallist, clocked a personal best of 44.72. Belgian record holder Jonathan Borlee was fourth in 44.94.
