Carlista Mo­hammed, the reign­ing women's sin­gles cham­pi­on bagged her sec­ond ti­tle of the Ten­nis As­so­ci­a­tion of T&T's Na­tion­al Open Cham­pi­onships. The tal­ent­ed Mo­hammed teamed-up with Lendl Smith and de­feat­ed the pair of Brent King and Leah Al­cala 6�2, 6�0 in the Mixed Dou­bles fi­nal at the Ed­die Tay­lor Pub­lic Courts in St Clair yes­ter­day evening. It was al­so a dou­ble for Smith, who ear­li­er in the day part­nered with Ivor Grazette to win the Men's Dou­bles fi­nal, tak­ing over two hours to out­play sin­gles cham­pi­on Yohansey Williams and his part­ner Tyler Mey­ers.

Smith and Grazette took the first set 6�4 though Williams and Mey­ers bat­tled their way back in­to con­tention, win­ning the sec­ond 7�5. In the re­sult­ing "Su­per Tiebreak", things were close again as Smith and Grazette got to ten points with their op­po­nents on left on sev­en. On Mon­day, the Guardian re­port­ed that Dun­can Smart had beat­en Rawle Boyce 6�4, 6�1 in the tour­na­ment's Vet­er­ans' Semi­fi­nals. How­ev­er, the match was the Vet­er­ans' fi­nal and was won by Boyce 6�4, 6�1. The news­pa­per re­grets the er­ror.
